Riot changes LoL because a Twitch streamer uses a weird tactic that keeps him dying

In League of Legends, Twitch streamer Thebausffs made famous a strange tactic with the hero “Sion”: Inting Sion. He kills himself with the hero again and again so that he can rage as an “undead Moloch” and tear down towers. This should soon come to an end. Riot is preparing a nerf.

What is Sion’s gag?

  • The Undead Moloch Sion has been in LoL since February 21, 2009, it was revised in 2014. He is a tank and is played in the top lane or in the mid lane.
  • According to his story, Sion is a former warlord who strangled a king with his bare hands. Even after his death, he must continue to serve his kingdom of Noxus: He is a kind of zombie warrior who lunges at his enemies in primitive armor and hardly knows who he really is or used to be.
  • His passive Glory in Death causes Sion to resurrect after he dies, then he can only use empowered auto-attacks while his zombie corpse decays and he loses life points.

“Kill mobs, smash tower, die, keep smashing tower”

What is that for a tactic with him? Twitch streamer Simon Thebausffs has devised a tactic known as “Inting Sion”:

  • Sion focuses on killing the wave of minions in his lane, then dashes into the opponent’s tower, taking hits until he dies there.
  • Then he gets back up as a zombie and uses his boosted auto-attacks to keep hitting the tower
  • He repeats this until he destroys the Nexus

The tactic is so strange that TheBausfffs was temporarily banned from LoL for it back in January 2021.

Player says LoL banned him for messing up a new powerful strategy

What’s so weird about the tactic? The tactic is the absolute ego tour (via leaguefeed). You don’t do anything else, ignore everything around you, don’t help any other players, don’t respond to your opponent, just play through your game while actually hiding the rest of LoL.

The tactic is therefore also called “inting”, i.e. for “intentional feeding”, because it looks as if Sion is constantly committing suicide on purpose, wants to sabotage his own team and actually help the opponent.

The tactic was showcased by Thebausffs in a 2020 video that has now garnered 1.1 million views.

He then gives tips that you should wait until everyone is fighting to push your lane – or that you should get involved in a fight as long as you can teleport back into the lane.

Twitch streamer somehow proud that Riot is changing the game just because of him

Here’s what Riot is doing now against this tactic: Riot will reduce the damage Sion does against turrets by 50% while in zombie form.

The nerf is already active on the test server.

How does the streamer react? He seems amused that Riot Games is changing the League of Legends game just for his sake.
