Many users are still unclear when it comes to restructuring the PS Plus subscription. The service change will take place in Germany on June 22, 2022 and combines the previous PS Plus and PS Now subscription models into three different bundles. Depending on your preference, you can choose between PS Plus Essential, Extra or Premium.

But what happens to codes that have not yet been redeemed? All that is known so far is that your active PS Plus subscription will be converted to PS Plus Essential, which includes the same services for the same price. But what happens to the codes already purchased that we no longer redeem before the change is revealed Playstation now on its official site.

Since the two subscription options PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium offer more than the previous standard PS Plus, the remaining term of your voucher code will not be completely converted. Rather, there is a conversion factor for both models that you must take into account if you redeem your codes after June 22nd.

If you are not yet an active member but have an old voucher code, the conversion is as follows:

  • 1 month PS Plus become to 1 month PS Plus Essential
  • 1 month PSNow become to 3 weeks PS Plus Premium

This means that the PS Plus subscription time you have as a code will be converted to PS Plus Essential without any deductions. PS Now vouchers will automatically convert to PS Plus Premium, albeit with a small deduction.

However, if you choose a higher-priced model after the service model has been converted, don’t worry: you can still use your accumulated codes even then. So:

  • 1 month PS Plus become to 1 month PS Plus Essential
  • 1 month PS Plus become to 3 weeks PS Plus Extra
  • 1 month PS Plus become to 2.5 weeks of PS Plus Premium

On Twitter, user Okami13_ shows how the whole thing affects higher-priced models with an annual membership. Instead of 365 days of PS Plus, you only get 219 days for PS Plus Extra or 183 days for PS Plus Premium after the change for your code:
