Pokémon GO launches the Air Adventures event tomorrow – Legendary Mega Raids and Bonuses

The big air event “Air Adventure” starts on May 3rd in Pokémon GO. We’ll show you all the content, such as the new legendary Mega Pokémon Latios and Latias, new spawns and bonuses.

What is this event? The Niantic team recently revised the mega developments in Pokémon GO. A big milestone for the coaches, who can now use the strong developments more easily. But that’s not all in this area – for the first time there will be Mega Evolutions of Legendary Pokémon. This debut takes place in the Air Adventure event.

When does it start? The event starts on Tuesday, May 3rd at 10:00 local time. It will then be active until Sunday 8 May at 20:00.

New Pokemon: For the first time, you’ll meet Mega Latias and Mega Latios in Pokémon GO raids. When they kick off, they will master certain attacks if you catch them within the event time.

• Latias knows the Charged Attack Mist Ball
  • She deals 120 damage in trainer battles and has a chance to lower the opponent’s Attack
  • Fog Ball deals 105 damage in Raids and Arena Battles

• Latios knows the Charged Attack Spotlight
  • She deals 12 damage in trainer battles and has a chance to lower the opponent’s defense
  • Spotlight deals 100 damage in raids and arena battles
  • Our counter-guide against Latios

Event Spawns: During the event, you will encounter Flying Pikachu* in the wild. Jigglypuff*, Meowth*, Enton*, Dodu*, Magikarp*, Wingull*, Wablu* and Driftlon. With luck also Charizard* and Mantax*. With all these Pokémon you also have the chance to find them as Shiny.

Temporary research: There is a limited research running during the event period that will reward you with 50 Mega Energy for Latias and Latios. There are also 3,000 experience points and an encounter with a Flying Pikachu. The tasks revolve around catching flying Pokémon and Pikachu.

Raids: You can meet the following Pokémon during the air adventure in raids:

eggs: Togepi*, Mantirps, Emolga, and eF-eM can hatch from 7km Eggs obtained during the event.

Field research: New Field Researches you receive during the event will reward you with encounters of Flying Pikachu*, Dodu*, Wablu*, and Emolga.

Bonus: Eggs placed in your incubators during the event will only need half the distance to hatch.

Shop: The shop has matching stickers for the air event with Corasonn, costumed and flying Pikachu.
