Twitch streamer plans big trip through South Korea, ends up in the hospital on the 1st day

Twitch streamer Esfand was unlucky on his first day in South Korea. He was injured in an accident on an arcade machine and had to be hospitalized.

Who is the person you are talking about? Twitch streamer Esfand streams a wide variety of games on TwitchTV. From World of Warcraft to PUBG to FIFA, where he coaches his virtual team via the green screen in the locker room.

The Texas streamer is currently on a trip to South Korea with fellow streamers and friends Mizkif, Emiru, Austin and Phin. But already on the first day there he suffered a nasty injury to his thumb.

“A few days away from the camera”

That happened: The troupe regularly goes live on the members’ various channels. There you can see a lot of good mood and exciting impressions. But that ended quickly when Mizkif told about the accident in a stream. He explained that Esfand will be away from the camera for a few days. A bone in his thumb broke off.

Of course, viewers wanted to know how that happened. Mizkif explains that he and Esfand dueled at an arcade machine to see who could hit the hardest. But Esfand made a mistake.

“He banged his open fist up [der Daumen war nicht angelegt]. After that, he immediately crossed his fingers,” explains Austin in the Twitch clip. “Shortly thereafter, we find ourselves in the taxi that took us to a Korean hospital […]. Esfand was then x-rayed and it turns out that a piece of bone in his thumb broke off. Now he is in the hospital and will be x-rayed again to find out if he needs surgery.”

Mizkif then jokes that Esfand might have surgery in Korea and that such a stream is something to look forward to. Esfand later explained how the injury came about: “I punched like I was wearing boxing gloves […] and then I broke both sides of my thumb.”

How is Esfand now? on Twitter the streamer showed the X-ray of his thumb with the comment “Still gladiator”. A nod to the fact that he recently earned the title in PvP at WoW.

In the meantime, Esfand can also be seen again in the live streams of the group, which is currently (as of May 5th at 2:50 p.m.) roaming the streets of Korea.

They always meet spectators who would like to take photos with them or bring them small gifts.

So it seems that Esfand is on the road to recovery and has already recovered somewhat from his injury.
