With this you can start catching two hours earlier, i.e. 09:00 a.m., but you pay 32.13 euros for it. In addition, you have the option of securing additional so-called “add-ons”, which give you special bonuses in raids or when hatching eggs. The two add-ons each cost an additional 10.06 euros.

This annoys coaches: The ticket to the GO Fest in Berlin caused a lot of discussion in social networks, such as the reddit community. Above all, the high ticket prices and the additional expensive add-ons are criticized by many players.

That’s why so many coaches don’t buy a ticket for the live event in Berlin

In the comments in our Facebook group some trainers told us why they will not buy the ticket. The high ticket price also played a decisive role for many coaches:

A notice: For a better understanding we have corrected the following comments for their spelling and grammar. The content is unchanged.

  • Saskia R.: “I think that’s cheeky… prices like that don’t work at all”
  • Do Reen: “I have an annual ticket for the Britzer Garten. I’m definitely not going to shell out an extra €35 for a couple of Pokemon.”
  • Stefan K.: “Much too expensive. They should make it cheaper, more people would play that way, and it all comes down to the same thing.”
  • Tanja K.: “No one is forced … but it’s too expensive for me. I would also have to drive as far as Berlin … given the gas prices.”
  • Selina P.: “To be honest, I think 35 € for just one day is a bit steep, even if it’s a live event. For the whole weekend I would have found the price even more reasonable. The prices in general are now really extreme. Niantic must have gone to their heads and smells big money in/with this game. Too bad. I’m more of the opinion that more players would probably buy a ticket if they were a little cheaper.”

dissenting votes: In the comments, however, you can also read one or the other opinion of players who find the price justified. Rene E. writes: “It’s okay, after all, the majority of people certainly spend more on concerts, for definitely fewer hours”.

And Melanie S. is also certain: “The prices have not risen any higher than when there was the GO Fest in Dortmund.”
