Lost Ark is preparing the big May update today – 4 hours server down

Lost Ark bringt heute Bugfixes und neue EU-Server – Alles zur Wartung und dem Server down

Lost Ark’s weekly update this week focuses on making some adjustments to the game’s backend. This is to prepare for the big update next week. We at MeinMMO summarize.

What’s in the update? As far as the direct content of the patch is concerned, this week’s update is likely to be one of the smallest that Lost Ark has received so far. Smilegate and Amazon are focusing more on the adjustments in the background this week.

Because the blog entry confirms once again that the big monthly update will be released with the weekly update next week, i.e. on May 19th. This then brings with it a huge mass of new content and would like to be prepared accordingly.

In addition to the backend improvements, only one bug fix awaits you this week. An error that caused the PvP leaderboards to sometimes not load is no longer in the game. But there are no other changes.

When is the server down? The “Lost Ark” servers go offline as usual at 9:00 a.m. German time. The update is expected to take around four hours server down, which means you can head back to Arkesia at around 1 p.m.

Of course we will keep you up to date on the server status in this article.

You probably don’t have to expect a major update in Steam either, as the changes seem rather minor.

The players are concerned

How is the community reacting to the update? Viewed soberly, this week’s update receives very little reaction, since it brings almost no changes with it. Nevertheless, a clear mood among the fans of Lost Ark can be seen.

While some are looking forward to the big update next week and thank Amazon for the good communication, the comments on the update also bring a completely different topic to the fore. The problem with the bots seems to be increasing again and is driving some players to despair.

They wish that one could at least communicate the timetable regarding the bots, and not simply remain silent. Still, the overall mood for the new content entering the game next week is positive.

What are the fans saying? Below the update announcement on Twitter are some comments that may reflect the mood in the community:

  • luktro3 writes (via Twitter): “The bots are really destroying the entire game. They cause slumps in the economy and ruin the level experience. The bots farm the maps empty like a swarm. When are you really going to do something here? It tires me”
  • revora___ is looking forward to the new update: “Let’s go! I’m looking forward to the 19th and have 44 cans of Dr Pepper ready to really get going.”
  • Well writes: “Thank you! You guys are doing a great job”

What do you think of the update and the current state of Lost Ark? Are you looking forward to the update next week or are you just as annoyed by the bots as many players in the comments under the official postings? Write it to us in the comments here at MeinMMO.
