Pokémon GO: New limited research brings you 2 “new” Pokémon

Limited Research will be unlocked at the start of the Water Festival in Pokémon GO. As a reward, you will receive items and two Pokémon encounters. One has a chance to bring you a Shiny.

What is happening in Pokemon GO? The big water festival that brings Kapu-Kime to the raids starts on May 12th. For the first time, there are dazzling Bithora and the Pokémon Araqua with the further development Aranestro.

As you know from other events, there is also limited research for all players this time. You can find them in the Today screen in-game. We’ll show you what’s inside.

Water Event Limited Research – All Rewards

When is the research? It will be available at the event start at 10:00 on May 12th. You have until the end of the event on May 20th at 20:00 to solve them.

The tasks:

• Catch 15 Pokemon
  • Reward: 20 Pokeballs
• Catch 50 Pokemon
  • Reward: 25 Super Balls
• Catch 25 Water-type Pokémon
  • Reward: 25 Hyper Balls
• Land 25 curveball throws
  • Reward: Encounter with Araqua
• Catch 10 different types of Pokémon
  • Reward: 50 Mega Energy for Gyarados

Total Reward: Successfully completing all tasks and claiming your rewards will grant you an additional 1,000 Stardust, 1,000 experience points, and an encounter with the new Lapras wearing a scarf.

The new Pokemon: Through research you can encounter the two Pokémon Araqua and Lapras. Araqua is now available to catch in the game for the first time. The Pokémon belongs to the types Water and Bug and comes from the seventh generation of the game. While Lapras has been in the game before, it’s “new” because it’s in the game for the first time with this scarf costume.
