Pokémon places the 8 strongest trainers in the world and Ash is just about there

Ash aims to win the Coronation World Championships.

The Pokémon video game series has featured a wide variety of champions, all of which have held their own as the top trainers in their respective regions. Ash Ketchum has always dreamed of one day becoming one of the best of the best. The Pokémon anime is currently running a competition between the champions and reveals who is the strongest of all champions in a ranking.

Coronation World Championships rank Pokémon champs

The 24th season of the Pokémon anime Pokémon Master Journeys: The Series is currently running. In this, Ash and his companion Goh travel through the different regions, with Ash fighting for a place among the champs in the Coronation World Championships.

What is the ranking? With the current episode 1196, Ash was able to prevail against Gym Leader Roy, whom some of you may know from Pokémon Sword & Shield. With that, Ash just barely made it into the top 8 of the Coronation World Championships. The places are occupied as follows:

• 8th place: Ash Ketchum
• 7th place: Lilia (Unova Region Champion)
• 6th place: Alain (Winner of the Kalog League)
• 5th place: Diantha (Champ of the Kalos region)
• 4th place: Siegfried (Champ of the Kanto and Johto region)
• 3rd place: Troy (champ of the Hoenn region)
• 2nd place: Cynthia (Champion of the Sinnoh region)
• 1st place: Delion (Champion of the Galar region)

But the ranking can still change, since it was only about the promotion battles. The champion of the Coronation World Championships is to be determined in a master tournament.

Pokemon anime in Germany

The episode from the 24th season of the Pokémon series has so far only been broadcast in Japan. For a broadcast in Germany, the only date mentioned is summer 2022. The 23rd Pokémon season was called “Pokémon Journeys: The Series” and we ran it last year. This is where Ash and Goh began their journey through the different Pokémon regions.

While Ash fights to become the greatest trainer of all time, Goh has a different goal: he wants to catch every Pokémon in the world, especially Mew.
