Yesterday Paradox Interactive took part overlord the latest addition to their hit grand strategy sci-fi game Stellaris (in the “Stellaris 2020” test). Overlord focuses on new empire management features, from new megastructures to deeper interactions with vassal systems. Overlord is available since yesterday for all PC platforms at a price of 19.99 euros. You can see the launch trailer right below this news. At the same time, update 3.4 “Cepheus” created by the Stellaris Custodian team has been released free of charge for all players, providing the game with new content and quality updates. The features of the Overlord expansion at a glance:

• New mechanics for minions, with which you define the roles for additional subjects. So you can create new specialized empires to grow into economic superpowers, military specialists and tech pros. You can also negotiate and demand treaties and agreements between your vassals to determine and benefit from the future of dozens of worlds.
• You can locate and reunite shattered empires. You will encounter a variety of unique enclaves, from mysterious Shroudwalkers to militaristic mercenaries and wily salvage workers. You can develop a good relationship with them to secure their services or try to subjugate them to your rule.
• Five New Origins:
  • Imperial Fiefdom: You start as a specialized ruler with the aim of ruling the entire galaxy.
  • Slingshot to the Stars: The decayed remains of a quantum catapult have been discovered nearby, and you can unlock their secrets if you’re clever enough to activate them again.
  • Underground: The species has adapted to life underground and excels at mining and archaeology. You bring them to the surface.
  • Tutors of the Shroud: Through evolving in contact with the inquisitive psykers known as Shroudwalkers, your empire has learned a great deal about mind expansion.
  • Progenitor Hive: With the right leadership, the Hivemind Empire can achieve more than ever before. Without the right leadership, the swarm collapses.
• Planning for the future and demonstrations of power:
  • New technological feats give the Empire the edge it needs to become the dominant force across the galaxy.
  • Orbital Rings (see teaser image) expand influence and defense capabilities.
  • Hyper relays allow your fleets to travel the galaxy even faster.
  • Quantum catapults offer you new ways to react faster in the galaxies and at the same time project the Force, although it is a risky journey for the fleet with no way back.
