Summer Game Fest 2022 will take place from 9.-12. June 2022 – News

As in previous years, becomes a moderator Geoff Keighley with the Summer Game Fest host an event consisting of a series of game announcement streams. Again the event takes place at the time when the E3 would typically take place, but as is well known, the E3 2022 completely cancelled. That Summer Game Fest 2022 begins June 9 at 8 p.m. local time with a multi-hour kick-off show.

Unlike in previous years, where this Summer Game Fest While this has been going on for weeks, this time the focus is on the June 9-12 period, when the bulk of the announcements will take place (the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase also falls on June 12). According to a post on the Epic Games Store with quotes by Geoff Keighley entitled “Like that Summer Game Fest to the new one E3 will”. In the post, Keighley also talks about wanting to put more focus on developers from all over the world:

“There are so many amazing indie developers all over the world.[…] We hear about the games being developed by the many teams in Ukraine. They can’t finish their trailers because they have to move to other countries because of the war. It’s very real. It’s a way world events affect game development. We’ve been thinking about that and I think there’s going to be some kind of representation of that on our show to talk about the global state of game development and the people making games.”
