Cannon: Antec presents high-priced gaming case

from Maurice Riebling
Antec releases a new gaming case with the Cannon. This is not only quite versatile in the arrangement of components and with a lot of glass it looks rather simple, but also expensive.

For those who want to show off their hardware in the most impressive way, Antec is launching a new case called Cannon. This impresses primarily with its rather simple look and modularity, which, however, has its price. The manufacturer demands a whopping 435 euros. In the focus of every build with the Antec Cannon primarily moves the built-in graphics card. The currently still high-priced GPUs can be mounted either on the side or directly in the front and always stand out depending on the position chosen. To ensure that the graphics card sits correctly when mounted on the front, the GPU bracket attached there can be adjusted in height. The front panel depth can also be adjusted so that the GPU is flush with the case.

Antec leaves enough space for the mainboard in the middle of the case. Compatible formats for the motherboard here are E-ATX, ATX and Micro-ATX. If you decide not to mount the graphics card on the side, you can install a water pump for custom cooling of the CPU instead. It also seems to be more recommended, since there is hardly any leeway here and it is not for nothing that the product page is headlined with the “best gaming case for custom water cooling”. The radiator of the CPU cooling circuit disappears to the back of the case in the example setup from Antec. For a custom loop of the graphics card, there are suitable attachment points for the radiator and pump behind the mainboard tray.

Alternatively, up to six 120 mm fans can also be mounted there. These can also be placed on the front or back. The latter offers space for up to three 120 mm or 140 mm fans. Up to three 120 mm fans can be mounted in the front. Other components such as the power supply and drives are largely hidden in the lower part of the case. However, the cables are also hidden by a 33 mm wide space between the separate chambers of the housing.
