Modern Warfare 2: Insider names date for trailer reveal of the new CoD in June

Modern Warfare 2 will be released later this year. Fans are longing for the first trailer for the new Call of Duty. Gamers still need a bit of patience.

Update from 05/13/2022: It becomes more concrete. After Jeff Grubb announced that Modern Warfare 2’s Reveal trailer would be released in early June, Tom Henderson also got involved. He posted a post on Twitter that indicates Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

So the first official moving images of Modern Warfare 2 are a little less than four weeks away. Typically, Call of Duty news is posted in the evenings. So on June 8th, from 5pm PST, keep an eye on all channels for the Modern Warfare 2 trailer.

Update from 05/01/2022: The leak of the first trailer of Modern Warfare 2 has been proven wrong. An official reveal did not take place on April 30th. Instead, the logo was published shortly beforehand. The title “Modern Warfare II” is now officially confirmed. We’ll have to wait a bit for a trailer though.

Meanwhile, insider reports are piling up that Activision and Infinity Ward won’t be showing the first footage until May 30th. Until the final trailer, there will probably be more teasers to feed the fans with hype. Patience is still required.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 reveal trailer timing leaked

First report from April 10th, 2022: California, USA – The Call of Duty series will welcome a new part in a few months. In 2022, Activision will continue to follow the annual release cycle approach. As has been officially confirmed, the title will be a sequel to 2019’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The well-known leaker “RalphsValve” has now published the possible date for the reveal trailer. Modern Warfare 2 trailer leaked: The Call of Duty series has captivated millions of players for years. The greatest success in recent history was probably the release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) and the free Battle Royale Warzone (2020), which is based on the same engine as Modern Warfare.

It’s hardly surprising that publisher Activision wants to build on this success. It has already been officially confirmed that Call of Duty 2022 will be a successor to Modern Warfare, which will be released in 2019. So far, however, Activision has kept a cloak of silence about Modern Warfare 2.

The game, which according to Leaks was provisionally named “Project Cortez”, is supposed to deal with the gang war against a Colombian cartel in the campaign. We were also able to collect the first information about the multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2.

The trailer is scheduled to be released today: The well-known leaker “RalphsValve” now wants to have found out the day on which Activision will break their silence about Modern Warfare 2 with a reveal trailer. He posted a screenshot of one on Twitter countdown. If you count this down, it comes Saturday April 30th out.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: what could Activision present in the reveal trailer?

Potential Modern Warfare 2 content: The reveal trailer is one of the main promotional tools available to Activision for Modern Warfare 2. With the trailer for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, the publisher had to feel how it doesn’t work firsthand. To date, the Reveal trailer is one of the most disliked videos on YouTube.

In addition to some impressions of the campaign already mentioned, the Reveal trailer should primarily show elements from the multiplayer mode. In addition, the platforms should be presented on which Modern Warfare 2 will appear. In addition to the next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X, Activision should continue to serve PC and last-gen.
