Battlefield 2042: Update 4.1 is here, removing Breakthrough 128

Today, May 19th, Battlefield 2042 Update 4.1 fluttered in, bringing many fixes and improvements, as well as a new All-Out Warfare rotation and changes to weapons and specialists.

128 players wasn’t a breakthrough

Among the most notable changes is the nerf to Boris’ SG-36 guard system. Less power is available to this after the patch. Also, Angel can no longer deploy Armor Plates through her Supply Bag.

A little compensatory work is being done on the weapons. The stock weapons now have less recoil advantage from attachments, as their handling has already improved with the revised base recoil.

The All-Out-Warfare playlist loses Nodus Breakthrough 128 in the current rotation. According to DICE, this mode is more suitable for conquest matches and initially only relies on 64-player experiences for breakthroughs.

The improved aiming aids should be pleasant, as should the atmospheric radio sound effects of the announcer audio for Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 3 matches.

All other changes can be found in the official patch notes read.
