After there was good news recently in the price development on the chip market, and graphics cards in particular should become affordable again, the tide is now turning again. the Chip costs are supposed to rise again.

In addition to disrupted supply chains, the reason for the price increase is above all the rising costs for the most important chip manufacturers TSMC, Samsung and UMC. These will soon raise prices due to rising production costs, the news site reports Bloomberg revealed.

Samsung customers who deal with price increases are said to be most affected 15 to 20 percent have to calculate. Samsung produces for Qualcomm and Nvidia, among others, but AMD and Intel will probably not be spared either.

The price increases should not only hit current graphics chips and processors, but also upcoming products like the Ryzen 7000 processors or “Geforce RTX 4000” chips. These are also affected by higher development costs.
