Genshin Impact’s Update 2.7 trailer is here: excitement with Yelan and Kuki Shinobu

After the 2.7 update was postponed, Hoyoverse has now released the official trailer for the upcoming new content in Genshin Impact, titled “Hidden Dreams in the Depths”. This not only shows parts of the story that the travelers slide into together with some allies, but also insights into the events.

After a short phase of uncertainty, there was now clarity for the live service game in anime look, because update 2.7 was supposed to be released at the beginning of May. Instead, it won’t be available until the end of May and a detailed trailer makes the new content palatable.

When it comes to the story, not only the new characters archer Yelan and ninja fighter Kuki Shinobu are part of the game. Rather, the old acquaintances Itto, Yanfei and Xiao come along on an adventure. Especially the latter, the protective Yaksha, seems to have some dangers in the trailer in Update 2.7 anyway.

The new events, apparently staged dramatically again, which probably also revolve around a renewed encounter between the two traveling siblings, have the mysterious great rift from update 2.6 as the scene. You can see some of that in the video:

In addition to the story, there are also more impressions of the upcoming events that could already be seen in leaks. After completing the main quest “Perilous Trail” a new combat challenge will open. In it you fight your way through four different, special arenas in several rounds.

The event quest “A Muddy and Bizzarre Adventure” also lets you get to the bottom of other muddy secrets in the great chasm.

The Great and Glorious Drumalong Festival takes things a little easier, where you party with the Arataki Gang in Inazuma and master a beat mini-game for rewards.

Another event in Inazuma is “Core of the Apparatus”, which makes you a toymaker’s right-hand man. In it you can put toys and furniture, only with the appropriate materials from the game world, which you can press together.

It is also now certain that Yelan’s character action prayer – as expected – will be available right at the start of 2.7, in parallel with a rerun of Xiao. After that, Itto follows along with Kuki Shinobu.
