CoD Warzone 2 reportedly borrows the ability of one of Rainbow Six Siege’s most dangerous women
Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a sequel and the leak machinery for the second part of the Battle Royale is slowly getting going. The supposed insider “Tom Henderson” shows 5 mechanics that are completely different in “Warzone 2”. And some of them you know from the competition.
What are the mechanics? The well-known leaker “Tom Henderson” liked to spread advance information about big shooters like Call of Duty or Battlefield. At the moment, the focus is on the successors to Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare.
For the previously unnamed “Warzone 2”, Henderson has now revealed 5 changed mechanics, which he says have already been tried out in play tests:
- Backpack Adjustments
- armor tiers
- Per perk
The new Warzone does not reinvent the wheel, but uses some of the competition – such as Rainbow Six: Siege. We explain the individual mechanics in detail on MeinMMO.
But keep in mind: The information here is unconfirmed leaks. Warzone 2 will probably not be launched for a few months or next year. Until then, things can still change or the mechanics are tests.
Interrogate – Enemies betray their teammates
If you shoot an enemy in the KO phase, it can be worthwhile in Warzone 2 to briefly visit the struggling opponent. Because you can still interrogate him.
You perform a sort of finisher on the prone enemy and then briefly see the positions of the rest of the team – similar to Revive mode when you completely finish off an enemy.
Warzone 2 may “borrow” the mechanics from Rainbow Six: Siege. Brazilian special agent Caveira uses a very similar interrogation mechanic and is one of the most dangerous women in the shooter – her training also included torture techniques.

Backpack – A real inventory in the offing
Currently you don’t have a real inventory in Warzone, just a kind of junk bar from which you can throw weapons or ammunition. That should probably change.
In the new Warzone there should be backpacks with different slots. 3 sizes of backpacks are available for looting.
Ammo, weapons, killstreaks and equipment then take up different numbers of slots. So you have to manage your ammunition better, but you can also take weapons with you that can be swapped out in between.
Escape from Tarkov and PUBG use a similar system.
Armors – Vest determines plate count
At the moment, each player has 3 slots for armor plates from the match start. You even start with 2 equipped plates.
According to the current status, however, new armor vests are in play in Warzone 2:
- Tier 1 – A slab
- Tier 2 – Two Plates
- Tier 3 – Three Plates
In order to get the armor completely full, you first have to collect the vests and then you can put on the plates that you have to look for separately. However, the vests do not disappear if your armor is shot down.
Strongholds – Fight for your loadouts
Buyable or free loadouts are probably a thing of the past – “strongholds” or in German “fortresses” ensure better equipment.
On the big map there should be 25 to 30 of these guarded areas. NPCs ensure that you don’t just walk into the areas. 3 of the fortresses are larger and more heavily guarded.
Each infiltrated fortress gives you a chance for a loadout drop and thus your equipment. The harder the fortresses are to take, the more loot you are likely to get.
A safe fortress would also be nice in the current war zone. The monsters are on their way:
Pro Perks – Better Extras: As before
With the “Pro Perks” there are probably better variants of the normal perks in the game. These are passive bonuses that you loot or get into the match via your loadouts.
Henderson says he’s not quite sure how this mechanic comes into play yet. In previous playtests, pro perks could be looted in the fortresses and pre-made loadout classes were equipped with the pro perks.
So you may still be able to loot normal perks, as you have recently in the current Warzone, and there are also Pro Perks that are more difficult to get because they are considered high-quality loot.
Warzone 2 – if that’s the name of the game – should be presented this year and build on the success of part 1.
The developers keep emphasizing that they see player feedback and take it to heart – as long as it’s constructive.
With the new Warzone, those responsible want to use the experience and feedback of recent years to help the Battle Royale regain its former glory. The one mistake that is now costing Warzone so many players should not be repeated.
