Polish developer studio The Dust today released the first gameplay trailer of I the Inquisitor, the dark fantasy adventure for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.

The game with action elements and difficult moral decisions is based on the Inquisitor book series by Jacek Piekara, which is set in an alternative religious world and sends Jesus on a quest for vengeance.

“After being nailed to the cross and near death, Jesus is consumed with unbridled rage. He breaks free and leads a brutal vendetta against all infidels. Centuries pass and now an army of zealous inquisitors enforces the faith in this blood-soaked church by force.”

You take control of Mordimer Madderdin, an inquisitor in the service of God. Deployed to the city of Koenigstein, which is full of mysteries and sins, you solve various cases and crimes that have turned away from the faith. At the same time, you uncover the truth of a dark evil from another realm.
