In this article we look at offers for the best SSDs that you can install in an existing or planned Playstation 5 and of course in a compatible PC or laptop. Because the SSD update for the PS5 has been available since September 15, 2021. So you can easily expand the memory of the PS5.
We list offers for the relevant sizes 1TB and 2TB. Depending on the location, we will show you offers with or without heatsink. Normally, however, you should prefer memory versions without a cooler and retrofit a heatsink for around 10 to 20 euros. You usually get away cheaper that way. Offers for the WD_Black SN850
The WD_Black SN850 was the first SSD confirmed by the storage manufacturer for the Playstation 5. She was also recommended early on by Playstation chief technology officer Mark Cerny. The best prices and providers:
Offers for the Seagate Firecude 530
Then the Seagate Firecuda 530 was confirmed in PS5 storage upgrades. In our test of PS5 SSDs, it was initially able to secure the crown in most benchmarks with its raw performance of up to 7,300 MB/s read performance.
Deals for the Crucial P5 Plus
The Crucial P5 Plus is currently the cheapest, confirmed SSD for the PS5. The wallet-friendly price tag doesn’t mean you’re slowed down compared to the other stores, though.

The SSDs from Taiwan turned out to be real performers in the PS5. Alternate was the first provider and currently has the best prices.

Offers for the Corsair MP600 Pro LPX
Corsair has launched the latest PS5 SSD. It is the console variant of the flagship MP600 Pro XT. This was equipped with a flatter heatsink.
The offers are valid while stocks last or as long as a corresponding promotion is announced.
