These are the top 10 most played video games in the US in the first quarter of 2022 on consoles and PC.

The NPD Group and PlayersPulse have published a list of the top 10 most played video games on console and PC in the US in the first quarter of 2022.

Minecraft takes the top spot on the list, followed by Grand Theft Auto V and The Sims 4 in second and third place respectively.

As Mat Piscatella, analyst at the NPD Group, rightly points out, half of the top 10 hasn’t even been released this decade.

Service games are obviously the most popular and keep players coming back for more. New AAA games are having a hard time breaking through. Bringing such games to Xbox Game Pass for launch could help to make it a success.
