It’s six full years No Man’s Sky now old and who is the responsible developer studio Hello Games criticized for not keeping promises and missing content during the 2016 release, should be satisfied by now. Since then, the hard-working developers have released one update after the other.

So this year there was already several new food for astronauts, including with the Sentinel update, while last year even giant sandworms were brought into play. But No Man’s Sky fans can continue to look forward to new content and with the Expedition Leviathan is now another updates landed on the game’s planet.


New No Man’s Sky update: Trapped in a time warp

On the official website of No Man’s Sky we have more detailed information about the update for adventurous planetary researchers who can throw themselves into the new expedition from today. Accordingly, the Leviathan update brings a ttemporary roguelike mode with: All players end up in a mysterious time loop and only if the community works together can they escape the surprising phenomenon.

Roguelike typical your death means the premature end and the time warp starts from the beginning. However, you can still find procedurally generated memory fragments from previous loops that give you some advantages for your particular run. The more players take part in the expedition, the better said fragments are – so teamwork pays off.

But the time warp also hides a story in which the eponymous Space Whale Leviathan should play a not insignificant role – which exactly, you have to find out for yourself, of course. The new game mode is available starting today and can be played for the next six weeks. As always, there are plenty more appealing rewards in the form of spaceship decorations.
