V Rising celebrates one million sales with an offline mode
The vampire survival game V Rising was a real surprise hit. Although some players were already excited about the release on May 17, 2022, the Stunlock Studios developer studio probably did not expect the huge success that the game is currently enjoying. A few days ago, V Rising hit over 500,000 units sold and now that number has risen to over a million sales, which is definitely quite an achievement for a previously relatively unknown title like this. Also, the title was a player record of all Line up 150,000 concurrent vampires.
Offline mode for V: Rising
V Rising is currently still in Early Access. So it’s safe to assume that these numbers will only increase over the course of development as Stunlock Studios gradually improves and expands their new game. For example, some players complained that they can’t play the title offline, they always have to be connected to some kind of server.
The developers reacted to this criticism quite quickly and in a new hotfix an offline mode has now been added to the game. Using this LAN mode, players can either play alone or with friends on a world without needing their own server for this. There were also some minor bug fixes for the title.
We definitely had a lot of fun with V Rising in our preview of the vampire adventure and are pretty excited to see what the future holds for the title. What do you think of the current indie hit? Do you enjoy roaming the night as a blood-sucking vampire, or don’t you really get where all the hype is coming from?
