Rumour: CoD Modern Warfare 2 is getting a PlayStation exclusive mode for PSVR 2

Captain Price also plays in this Modern Warfare 2.

Sony has just announced a new showcase that will focus on third party and PSVR 2 games, and now there is a new rumor from a well-known leaker about a PlayStation-exclusive VR mode for CoD: Modern Warfare 2.

Modern Warfare 2 is set to get its own PSVR 2 mode

The rumors come from the well-known CoD leaker RalphsValve, according to which Modern Warfare 2 should get a free VR experience in which players* can play a standalone mode as a rank 1 operator.

  • Is there a release for VR mode? The mode will be available exclusively for PSVR 2 and will appear at the launch of the new hardware. When exactly that is, however, is still unknown.

More on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2:

CoD still with PlayStation deals

A VR mode for CoD: Modern Warfare 2 is at least not unlikely, and CoD: Infinite Warfare already had a VR experience with Jackal Assault. Finally, Sony has stated that it will be launching PSVR 2 with over 20 titles, of which only Horizon: Call of the Mountain has been confirmed so far.

It is also not surprising that Sony still has exclusive deals here, although Activision Blizzard is said to be part of Microsoft soon. Microsoft has already confirmed that it intends to keep existing deals after the acquisition. Accordingly, we probably do not need to expect that Call of Duty Day One will come to Game Pass in the next few years, and PlayStation users could also enjoy the beta for Modern Warfare 2 first.
