June 2022 is just around the corner – that means: new free games for all PS Plus membership holders. They will be announced on that date.

PS Plus Games Announcement: PS Plus free games are always announced and released according to a pattern. The games are always presented by the company from San Mateo on the last Wednesday of the month and can then be downloaded or saved in the library on the first Tuesday of the month. For the “PS Plus” games in June 2022, however, the announcement could actually be in June and no longer in May.

Since the first Tuesday in June falls on June 7, 2022, the PS Plus games should be announced on the Wednesday before. That would be June 1, 2022. The free games will probably no longer be announced in May, as is often the case. PlayStation normally publishes the free games at 5:30 p.m. German time on its own blog.

Then the “PS Plus” games appear: The free games for PS Plus in June 2022 should then be available to all subscribers from June 7, 2022. This is also indicated by the PS Plus free games from May 2022. You can download them or save them in your library until June 6th. If you’re a “FIFA 22” fan, you should definitely do the same. After all, the cracker is currently available for free with a subscription.

Free games for PS Plus: But which PS Plus free games will fans get in June 2022? This is not officially known yet. But there is already the first indication of a game. A leak suggests that The Medium could be coming to PS Plus in June 2022. But that hasn’t been confirmed yet. Nothing is known about the other two free games for PS Plus either.

Changing the subscription model: In June, PS Plus subscribers will not only get new free games, but the entire subscription model will be changed. Sony expands PS Plus and adds two more subscription levels: Extra and Premium. The current PS Plus will then be called PS Plus Essentials and will remain exactly as it is now.

If you upgrade to PS Plus Extra, you get 400 PS4 and PS5 games “for free”. The premium tier includes retro PS1, PS2 and even PS3 titles. The complete list of games for PS Plus Extra and Premium has also been officially confirmed.
