Diablo 2 Resurrected: Act 1 Secret Cow Level – Farm Guide
That Secret cow levels, also known as The Secret Cow Level or “Moo Moo Farm”, is home to the Cow King and hundreds of hell bulls wielding powerful polearms. It sounds incredibly difficult, but it’s not! The great thing about the cow level is that lack of immunities. Only the Cow King is inherently immune to lightning damage on all difficulties. This allows virtually any build to efficiently farm this area.
After completing Quest 6 in Act 5 (Kill Baal), you can red portal to the secret cow level open on this difficulty by her host’s leg and transmuted a tome of the city portal in the Horadric Cube. The special dungeon is a great source of rare base items, unique and set items, and valuable high level runes.

Normal difficulty
Especially at the start of a new Ladder season, it is very worthwhile to farm the Secret Cow level on Normal difficulty. For example, the Bulls of Hell leave crystal swords and broadswords fall, which receive 4 sockets from Blacksmith Larzuk (Act 5, Quest 1). These are used to create the “Spirit” runeword, which is divine for almost every class when leveling.
Nightmare difficulty
The main goal of farming on Nightmare difficulty is spells. The Secret Cow Level is a great place to so-called “skillers” (giant spells with +1 to all skills in a skill tree). You can also farm resistance and vitality spells to ease entry into Hell difficulty. In addition to spells, a fair amount of pristine gems, jewels, rings, and amulets can be found here.
Hell difficulty
On Hell difficulty, the Secret Cow level really starts to shine. With an area level (alvl) of 81, most of the coveted base items for runewords can be farmed, such as monarch shields, slayer axes, threshers, and much more. In addition to spells, a decent amount of pristine gems, jewels, and every rune down to the Zod rune can also drop from the Infernal Bulls.
The following are a few prominent examples of items that can drop in the Secret Cow level on Hell difficulty:
weapons
helmets
armor
jewelry
set
Magic
Besides, you can do that here special set “Leather of the Cow King” be farmed. This set is only available in the Secret Cow level. The boots and armor can drop on any difficulty, the helmet only on Nightmare and Hell. Although this set is not used very often, the Cow King’s Leather makes a great trophy!
Since the Secret Cow level is area level 81, Hellbull Elite Packs are monster level (mlvl) 84, making them good for farming for experience into the 90’s. For builds that are particularly well-suited to this dungeon, the minimum equipment requirement to farm safely and efficiently here is very low. Farming is often done here from level 75 and quickly reaches 85+.

Make sure to check each section of the zone during your hunt so you don’t miss any packs and of course the Cow King! He resides in his small fortress, which is randomly placed in the Secret Cow level.
Keep your distance!
