Diablo Immortal will be released in 2 days: Everything you need to know about the release
Here you can find out everything you need to know about DIablo Immortal before the release.
Starting Thursday, Blizzard will once again open the doors to virtual hell on iOS, Android and PC. Diablo Immortal is not just intended to bridge the time up to part 4, it is rather the next big offshoot of the popular Hack & Slay series. So that you can prepare for the release as well as possible, we have compiled all the important information for you here in compact form.

Diablo Immortal Release & Preload
- Launch date: 02 June 2022 (Thursday)
- Launch time: 7 p.m. (CEST)
Diablo Immortal will be released simultaneously on iOS, Android and PC. If you want to play via PC, you can already download the game thanks to preload (27 GB). A preload is not available for mobile.
PC vs. Mobile: Are there differences? Although the game starts on the PC in a beta version, the content should not differ from the mobile version for iOS and Android. According to Blizzard, depending on the computer, you benefit from a high resolution, which also applies to modern smartphones.
Price: How much does Diablo Immortal cost?
Blizzard releases Diablo Immortal as free2play game, so you can experience the full game at no cost, get full access to the story including all areas. In addition, there will also be a free Battle Pass.
As usual with such a payment model, you can also spend real money on cosmetic items or items to optimize your character. A detailed list of free and paid content can be found here:

Will there be loot boxes? The exact contents and prices of the in-game shop are not yet known before the release, due to current reports from the Dutch site tweakers however, it can be assumed. Accordingly, Diablo Immortal will not appear in Belgium and the Netherlands due to loot box mechanics. In Belgium in particular, the Gambling Commission is taking decisive action against loot boxes for real money.
We will report to you in detail after the release how fair the payment mechanisms are designed.

Crossplay and cross-progression possible
If you want to play Diablo Immortal on your smartphone/tablet as well as on your PC, this is easily possible thanks to cross-progression, since you can transfer your score. Unfortunately, we can only tell you how this works in detail for the release on June 2nd.
Thanks to the crossplay function, you can also play with your friends if they are on a different platform than you. If you play on your smartphone on the train while your girlfriend is at home on the PC, that’s no problem.
Diablo Immortal controls explained
For Mobile: You have the choice between direct control of your character via touchscreen or controller. You can find out which pads are compatible for iOS and Android at touch arcade.
For PC: Here you can play in the classic way with a mouse and keyboard, optionally control your character with WASD for the first time, or you can grab a controller.
The touch control explains: To run, place your finger on the lower left side of the touch screen and move it in all directions. This will make your character walk like input through an analog stick. You can trigger abilities and potions by tapping them on the lower right side of the screen. To aim accurately, you draw an ability on your opponents. (see video below, minute 3:10)
What classes are in Diablo Immortal?
At the release you have the choice of a total six classes, which, according to Blizzard, will be expanded after publication. But don’t worry, if you made the wrong decision, you can change your class for the first time after the game has started.

Diablo Immortal now also for PC – What has changed since the reveal?
Single player and multiplayer
Although Diablo Immortal is designed as an MMO action RPG including online compulsion for multiplayer, you can also play the campaign in single player right up to the endgame without any problems. Theoretically, you can also tackle raids and dungeons without other players, but then you face a much greater challenge.
The content is designed for this number of players:
- Dungeons: 4 players
- Raids: 8 players
- Raids: 4×12 players
- Cycle of Strife (Endgame PvP): 8 vs. 8 players
How long is the Diablo Immortal campaign?
Playing through the Diablo Immortal campaign once is only a very small part in relation to the entire scope of the game including endgame content. Playing through the game on several levels of difficulty, its equipment and – here Immortal as an MMO has a big focus – on multiplayer Participating in events like raids lets us sink another dozen hours into the game.
The playing time of the campaign will be around 10 hours. But only if you complete one story mission after the other. However, new areas are tied to a level limit that you have to reach first, which in turn also takes time. You can find out how Blizzard explains the season here:
