In League of Legends, South Korean pro Heo “Showmaker” Su has snagged both top spots in South Korea’s SoloQ. He played practically the identical characters in LoL: he favors the champs Ahri and Vex. But he even gets the best out of the problem champ Ryze.

• In recent weeks, the champions of their respective LoL regions have been battling it out in the MSI tournament. Ultimately, Royal Never Give Up, the champions of the Chinese LPL, prevailed: however, only one team from each region qualified.
• The professionals of the other teams actually had the day off. Because their seasons ended a few weeks ago. However, it is common for LoL professionals to continue playing LoL in their free time, they then keep fit in their country’s SoloQ, for example.
• Showmaker is considered one of the best players in the world. He became world champion in 2020 and runner-up in 2021. In 2022 things weren’t going too well for DWG. The long-time supporter had disappeared, and there were also problems on the top lane: In the league, DWG was enough for second place, in the playoffs they were knocked out in the semifinals against Gen G. So Showmaker has the day off and the SoloQ has to face it.

In total, he has already won 432 games with both accounts and “only” lost 274.

Which heroes is he strongest with? His dominant heroine on both accounts is the foxish Ahri. With her he has a win rate of 74% and 68% respectively. He also plays Ahri the most. He played 100 games with her. With his second favorite hero, Vex, he has only been on the road 52 times.

He is also strong with Zoe – he has a win rate of 69%/ 79%.

Showmaker doesn’t really experiment that much in the Solo Q. He’ll occasionally need to play top lane or support, but he does the overwhelming majority of his play in mid lane.

Showmaker doesn’t really compete alone in the SoloQ, but travels with changing duo partners. For example, in the last 20 games with the DK Showmaker account, he played 4 times with his teammate Nuguri (the old and new top laner) and 4 times with deokdam (bot laner).

Riot recently flirted with the idea of ​​​​decoupling the “duo mode” entirely from the SoloQ.
