Final Fantasy 16: First gameplay in the trailer // Coming in summer 2023 – News

Since the announcement of Final Fantasy 16 In September 2020, things remained quiet about the new installment in Square Enix’s flagship JRPG series. In the wake of the recent State of PlayAt the presentation of PlayStation, a new trailer was shown, which included cutscene impressions as well as short combat gameplay. There are also duels between giant esper elementals like Ifrit and TItan, which could be summoned in previous parts of the series but seem to play a bigger role in the Final Fantasy 16 story.

The development team under Game DIrector HiroshiTakai (The Last Remnant, FF14: Heavensward) is currently in the final stage of development and is being fine-tuned. The JRPG is slated for release on PS5 in summer 2023. A PC version has also been announced, but it’s possible that, like previous Final Fantasy spin-offs, it will appear some time after the PlayStation release.
