In modern firmware interfaces, the UEFIs, tuning is no longer that difficult and the Internet also offers some tips and tricks. Apart from the overclocking of the processor and main memory, however, things quickly become confusing because the manufacturers have not agreed on a uniform menu navigation and naming. Fine-tuning your own fan curves, special functions for working with virtual machines or changing the boot order can already become a problem, not to mention options that you are not actually looking for: Given the multitude of options, concerns quickly arise about overlooking an important one.
