A new comparison video from Diablo Immortal shows the graphical differences between the smartphone and PC versions of the game. The PC port comes up with additional graphic effects.

Blizzard initially announced the hack-n-slash Diablo Immortal as a mobile game, which of course caused the expected annoyance among hardcore Diablo fans at the time. However, the recent release for the PC not only revealed legitimate criticisms of the port, but also revealed some additional features of the PC version.

Diablo Immortal for PC: With additional ambient occlusion effects

A new Youtube video by ElAnalistaDeBits not only proves that Diablo Immortal looks great for a smartphone title, but also that the PC version of the latest installment in the Blizzard series offers additional graphics features. The PC version comes with additional effects and settings, such as ambient occlusion for the vegetation and certain particles. Nevertheless, the porting is rather sobering, because some typical settings that are otherwise found in PC games are missing. Take a look at the comparison video below.

In the Diablo Immortal comparison video, the smartphone version was shot with a Galaxy S21, while the PC version uses an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080. Despite the theoretically better graphics performance, the setting options fall by the wayside due to the porting. From this alone it can be stated that Diablo Immortal was actually developed for mobile devices. Nevertheless, it is pleasing that the Hack-n-Slay cuts an acceptable figure in terms of graphics performance.
