Diablo Immortal: Worst Blizzard game ever – according to Metacritic User Score
The fact that Diablo Immortal will not take the hearts of Blizzard fans by storm should have long been clear to every incorrigible optimist. Players are tearing up the mobile game on the forums and have now voted it the worst Blizzard game ever on Metacritics.
Diablo Immortal was not under a good star from the announcement to the release. And that’s actually an understatement. The announcement at BlizzCon at the time has not only become a running gag and meme, but is also likely to be one of the low points in BlizzCon history. Apart from the sexism scandal last year, only the release of Warcraft III: Reforged should come close to the shit storm that Blizzard repeatedly gets because of Diablo Immortal. In the end, it no longer played a big role whether and how good the game itself was.
If Diablo Immortal had really turned out to be a good game, things would have calmed down slowly but surely over time. But what the developers have thrown onto the market is, in the eyes of many players, exactly what they feared: a prime example of how Pay2Win tries to get every cent out of its customers’ pockets. And so the frustrated players vent their anger at Blizzard. The forums explode with complaints and negative threads and on Metacritics Diablo has Immortal set a new record.
Worst Blizzard game ever
Because there the players have diligently written reviews and Diablo Immortal (currently) down to a user score of 0.6 t. It even undercuts the previous one Blizzard low light Warcraft III: Reforgedwhich also achieved a score of 0.6.
This makes Diablo Immortal by far the worst game that Blizzard has ever released – at least after Metacritics User Score. Only remakes like WC III Reforged mentioned above or expansions for Hearthstone are otherwise in these areas. Even the worst WoW expansion of all time for many players (Battle for Azeroth) still achieves a user score of 2.6 and is therefore a whopping two points above Diablo Immortal.
