Fortnite could soon have first person mode and it fits perfectly

Fortnite may soon let us change our perspective.

Fortnite is played from the third person perspective. But that might change soon. At least there are indications that Epic is working on integrating a first-person view into the game soon. This would probably be extremely chaotic and confusing in the traditional Fortnite experience with its many building options, but would fit ideally with the no building modes.

That’s what it’s about: Fortnite, maybe you’ve heard of it before. This is one of the most successful games in the world. Normally it is played from the so-called third-person point of view, i.e. a third-person perspective, in which we look over the shoulder of the character. But according to a leaker, a new perspective may soon be added: the classic view of first-person shooters. It could look like this:

Little information so far: Apart from the announcement that a corresponding mode with a first-person camera should be worked on, nothing is revealed. This new mode and new perspective should still be in an early stage of development. Work on it has been going on since the beginning of Season 3.

How likely is that? Fortnite leaker HypeX has generally been well informed. For example, he correctly predicted that Fortnite would have a completely no-build mode with Zero Build. Accordingly, the whole thing should be quite serious, even if you should of course continue to enjoy it with caution.

Perfect match for Zero Build: In a normal match in Fortnite, it would be quite difficult, confusing and complicated to set up small turrets and barricades in no time from the first person perspective. But the Zero Build mode focuses on the classic battle royale and shooter virtues without building.

Accordingly, the first person view would also fit very well. The whole thing brings back memories of PUBG: At first there was only a third person perspective and then the first person mode was added.
