Cyberpunk: Edgerunners: First trailer look at the Netflix anime set in the cyberpunk universe

Two years after the announcement, it becomes concrete: The anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners gets a teaser – and a release month. It starts in September.

According to CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger, the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells an independent story in ten episodes. The focus is on a street boy who has to survive in a city of the future. His plan: stay alive by becoming the Edgerunner – a mercenary of the dystopian cyberpunk future.

Studio Trigger is responsible for the anime. Hiroyuki Imaishi (Kill la Kill, Promare) is directing, while Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academy, BNA: Brand New Animal) is in charge of character design. The story, developed by CD Projekt Red, is being scripted by Masahiko Otsuka (Star Wars: Visions “The Elder”) and Yoshiki Usa. The music was written by Akira Yamoka (Silent Hill).

Start in September
