Cyberpunk Edgerunners is coming in September and it’s looking brutally good
Cyberpunk Edgerunners is coming to Netflix in September.
Netflix is finally revealing more about the Cyberpunk 2077 anime series Edgerunners. It now has a release period, for example. Two new teaser videos also give a first glimpse of the action and what to expect in the ten episodes. It looks pretty brutal, but it also looks promising. Apparently, the makers are strongly oriented towards the aesthetics of the CD Projekt RED video game.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Watch the Maelstrom Gang clip
Cyberpunk Edgerunners once again takes us into the world of Mike Pondsmith, on which the Cyberpunk 2077 game is also based. That means we’re back with one dystopian vision of the future full of dominating corporations, paramilitaries, gangs and violence. The anime series is designed for ten episodes and tells an independent story that is independent of the game.
Next to one new teaser trailer there is also this one Video clip about the Maelstrom gang a good first impression of style and content orientation. Apparently, Cyberpunk Edgerunners is as violent as it is in the game. But the best thing to do is take a look at the whole thing for yourself:

But of course the whole thing goes wrong – at least from the point of view of the Maelstrom gang – and ends in a chaotic bloodbath.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners finally has a rough release timeline
Unfortunately no fixed date: Unfortunately, Netflix is not yet revealing an exact start date. This means that we can’t mark an exact date in the calendar yet, but at least a month. Cyberpunk Edgerunners is supposed to in September 2022 to start. That means you don’t even have to wait three months and in the meantime you can watch the new Resident Evil series, which is also running on Netflix.
