You don’t have to wait long until you can shred, beat and shoot your way through hordes of vampires in the Wild West. The new trailer for Evil West revealed that the wacky action title was already released on September 20th Appears for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X/S. Fast-paced third-person gameplay was also shown. We’ll tell you what to expect in this title.

Bloody monster hunt in the wild west

It’s all about this: In Evil West we are promised “frantic, gory spooky Wild West shootouts”. Contrary to what is usual in this setting, however, law enforcement officers do not fight against outlaws here, but monster hunters against nightmarish vampire hordes.

We become a monster hunter: In the action game, we slip into the role of Jesse Reindeer, the top agent of an undercover monster hunter organization. Jesse, whose raspy voice is not at a loss for casual witticisms, is described as a gunslinger who can upgrade to become a superhero of the Wild West – and in the trailer, it actually looks more like the latter.

Martial battles: If we dutifully fire historical guns in the Red Dead Redemption series, it looks very different in Evil West. Here we clean up with a completely wacky arsenal of weapons and gadgets. The trailer presents us with various firearms, but also shows how the hero beats up the sinister fellows with cool and apparently electronically charged fist weapons, hacks them up with a large martial melee weapon or singes them with a flamethrower.

In Evil West you can expect crazy monster hunting instead of historically correct westerns.

As you can see in the video, we swing our weapons against onslaughts of human-sized villains, as well as against huge monsters with bulky physiques or powerful wings. There’s blood splattering in the ferocious battles, and even a stylish x-ray view as Jesse electrocutes his opponents.

So if you like hardened heroes, chaotic battles and trashy horror or would like to see the Wild West burn, you should mark September 20th in your calendar in blood red.
