American Arcadia: Fresh gameplay from the deadly reality show

New impressions from the deadly reality show American Arcadia were shown at the Summer Game Fest.

Call of the Sea developer Out of the Blue and publisher Raw Fury released the first extended trailer for American Arcadia during Summer Game Fest.

The world premiere gives players their first in-depth look at the upcoming 2.5D platformer and first-person puzzler, in which players will explore the unique stories of two characters – each with their own unique gameplay – whose lives and destinies are intertwined.

Welcome to Arcadia, a retro-futuristic 70’s style metropolis that promises a life of luxury and comfort for all. What the citizens don’t know is that they are playing a role in American Arcadia, the world’s most popular reality show, which has been broadcast live 24/7 for decades, and that their supposed utopia is not what it seems.

Under the eyes of countless spectators, the popular citizens lead a carefree life, but those who fall out of favor with the public risk an even more dangerous result…

Speaking of the game’s protagonist, Out of the Blue co-founder and creative director Tatiana Delgado said, “Trevor is just an ordinary person living an ordinary life, enjoying everyday life and the little things that make him happy. In the real world, that wouldn’t be a problem, but in Arcadia, not being popular enough is trouble. But he finds help in a mysterious voice that promises to guide him through the scenes of American Arcadia to freedom. Is this offer legit or just a ploy to increase ratings?”
