New update for Gran Turismo 7 adjusts steering wheels and more - All patch notes

The new update 1.16 for Gran Turismo 7 is now available for download.

Developer Polyphony Digital is making a number of further adjustments and optimizations to the racing game.

What changes with the update

Among other things, the force feedback strength of some cars in combination with certain steering wheels has been adjusted. There are also one or two changes to the world routes.

Furthermore, it should no longer happen that high-pressure pistons and turbochargers are fitted at the same time for certain inputs.

Gran Turismo 7: Update 1.16 – All patch notes

Below we have the complete patch notes for update 1.16 for Gran Turismo 7 for you.

  • 1. Vehicle settings
    • Fixed an issue where high pressure pistons and turbochargers would both mount at the same time on certain inputs.
  • 2. World routes
    • Fixed an issue that occurred when selecting Rival Settings > Rival Select > Random in a [Benutzerrennen] and entering a Toyota GR010 HYBRID ’21 has resulted in a one-make race being discontinued.
    • Fixed an issue so that the colors of the rims of enemy vehicles in Kei Car Cup now match those in the thumbnails.
    • Fixed an issue where on some tracks (such as Deep Forest) the time from entering the pit lane was recorded along with the actual pit stop time.
    • Fixed an issue that caused the thumbnail on the home screen to change when changing vehicles via Settings > Change Vehicle on the event screen [Zeitrennens] or [Drift-Rennens] not changed accordingly.
  • 3. Multiplayer
    • Fixed an issue where selecting “Race Settings” > “Start Type” > “Start from grid with false start check” in the lobby caused the start times of each vehicle to differ.
    • Fixed an issue where, in some cases, when entering a room during a race, the background would disappear and the game would hang when exiting the room.
  • 4. Steering wheel controller
    • Adjusted the force feedback strength for the vehicle and steering wheel controller combinations listed below. When using other combinations, the force feedback strength from update 1.13 is applied.
    • Vehicles: SRT Tomahawk X Vision Gran Turismo, SRT GTS-R Vision Gran Turismo, Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo SV
    • Steering Wheels: Thrustmaster T300, Thrustmaster T500, Thrustmaster T-GT, Fanatec CSL Elite Racing Wheel, Fanatec Podium, Fanatec GT DD Pro
  • 5. Presentation room
    • Fixed an issue where the progress bar of a video replay would not start at the beginning when playing a best lap replay in the presentation room.
  • 6. Miscellaneous
    • Various other bugs have been fixed.
