7 minutes of gameplay from Modern Warfare 2

The popular shooter series “Call of Duty” is already entering the next round on October 28th. With “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” the developers want to build on the success of the audience’s favorite of the same name from 2009 – with contemporary graphics, well-known characters and a new storyline. In the first gameplay trailer, the developers use an infiltration mission to show how the new “Modern Warfare 2” plays.

For connoisseurs of the model from 2009, the “Dark Water” mission shown in the video will cause nostalgia, as it is reminiscent of the “Wetwork” mission from the template. The player leads a team of soldiers onto a heavily guarded oil rig, has to secretly infiltrate it and prevent a weapon of mass destruction from being launched giving containers can go overboard. The highly realistic visuals also catch the eye immediately. “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” will be released on October 28th for the PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles. For the first time since 2017, Activision-Blizzard is releasing the PC version on Steam – in recent years “Call of Duty” has only been offered on the in-house Battlenet.
