Guardians make fun of Destiny 2’s Lost Sectors – farming for hours for nothing

Hüter machen sich über die Verlorenen Sektoren in Destiny 2 lustig – Stundenlanges farmen für nichts

In Destiny 2, diligent Guardians can quickly and easily get hold of their beloved Exos thanks to Lost Sectors. You can farm them daily in the constantly rotating sectors. But the loot luck of many guardians in these sectors is so miserable that they even make fun of it now.

What is the Lost Sectors problem? Bungie introduced the legendary Lost Sectors to give players the ability to farm explicitly for exotic armor.

Before the legendary Lost Sectors, Exos were only obtained from random sources, but with the new feature, that should end. Players should be able to hunt their personal god roll armor on their own and with an even higher probability.

In practice, however, this is not entirely true. While the probability of getting a new seasonal armor is high, if you want to farm exo armor you’ve already gotten, get ready for an hours-long dilemma.

Players make fun of their bad luck

How bad are the drop rates on an Exo? Your luck in these sectors can be so bad that you could even farm for hours without even seeing an Exos.

The reaction of reddit user Samatari22 describes the desperation of many guardians very accurately.

The Warden fought his way through a Legendary Lost Sector solo for a chance at an Exo. However, when he opened the chest, he got: Nothing. Nothing, not even a bit of Glimmer or an Enhancement Core. You can literally see the three big question marks above his head when he looks deeper into the really empty loot box. Still nothing! He describes his video as a “crazy loot” that he got hold of today in the sector.

Reddit user IamLeoKim comments under the video that the real treasure is not the Exos, but the friendship that you have made up to the box. Other Guardians just make fun of this unacceptable state.

Although Bungie wants to offer players a reliable source for farming Exos with this method, they feel less lucky in these sectors than in the open world.

There was even a keeper in reddit, who claims that players are simply leaving the sector too quickly and that’s why they don’t get any loot. In his recording he then proves how many Exos you could get if you just stay longer at the sector box.

However, this is meant rather ironically, because it is just a trick that works thanks to the Destiny Item Manager. While standing at the crate, he simply moves his old gear from his own vault to his keeper, creating the illusion of a never-ending barrage of exotic drops.

Despite this, this is an issue affecting the entire Destiny 2 community. Many simply want to farm their favorite Exo with a suitable distribution for their build, but not even being rewarded for this for hours is seen by many Guardians as cheeky.

how do you see it? Do you think the loot luck in the sectors is balanced and designed appropriately or does that go against the grain and Bungie should let more jump? Let us know in the comments.
