Aldi drone: GPS drone QC-90 for 129 euros from the end of June

from Benjamin Grundken
Aldi is selling another drone model at the end of June. The GPS drone QC-90, which will cost 129 euros, is particularly suitable for beginners. The discounter gives the flight time as around 17 minutes.

With the GPS drone Maginon QC-120, Aldi recently offered a model for 269 euros. Now the GPS drone QC-90 is going down a price category, changing hands for only 129 euros. Aldi deliberately addresses beginners on the product side. You get a model with an HD camera, gesture control via app and battery power for 17 minutes of flight time.

The campaign period is again limited. It begins in ten days, June 30 at 7 a.m. and officially ends on July 24. Supply and demand decide whether the drone really stays in the shop that long: the item is only available while stocks last.

On the product page, Aldi emphasizes the “convenient control via app thanks to the smartphone holder and headless mode”, the “automatic return to the starting point thanks to the return-to-home function”, a “long flight time of around 17 minutes” and “great aerial photos with videos and photos in HD and a follow-me function”. Using headless mode, you control the drone through the live images directly on your smartphone. As a result, even beginners should quickly find their way around the GPS drone QC-90.

Under the technical data, the flight time is given as 15 to 17 minutes, the loading time should be around 150 minutes. While the frequency range is around 2,402 to 2,478 MHz, the Wi-Fi distance should be 100 to 150 meters – without obstacles and interference. This restriction also applies to the effective range of the remote control, which according to Aldi is 500 to 600 meters. The photo resolution is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels on the memory card and 1,280 x 720 on the mobile device. A 32 GB micro SD card and an SD adapter are included. More details can be found on the product page and in the user manualthat Aldi makes available there.
