3 things you need to try in Destiny 2 Season 17 before they get nerfed
In Destiny 2 there are also cool and strong items, mods or weapons in Season 17, which are absolute game changers and bring a lot of fun. But the things that players in Destiny 2 enjoy the most because they are very strong could quickly end up on Bungie’s nerf list. So that you can enjoy the fun for as long as possible, today we will tell you three things that you should definitely try now.
The start of the current Season 17 was bumpy because Solar 3.0 brought some changes and several bugs into the game that Bungie is still working on.
But in the meantime, the “Haunted Season” has also revealed a number of options that are not only a lot of fun, but are currently really strong. Maybe even too strong.

Titan Exotic “Lorelei Prunkhelm” – The easy mode for Destiny 2
Titans are having a really good time in Destiny 2 these days, resting in their sunspots amidst enemies. But only if they call the exotic “Lorelei-Prunkhelm” their own.
In combination with the new Solar 3.0 abilities, this unfolds enormous abilities and heals its wearer almost constantly. It’s pretty much impossible to die with it, and it makes some activities in Destiny 2 a lot easier.
What makes this exotic so strong? In short: sunspots.

This makes it really hard to die in game, even when you’re in the midst of your enemies. It might not last you in a pinnacle twilight, but the damage reduction and healing is huge and kind of insane.

Love the Dragonfly weapon perk, but want more and bigger explosions? Then you can get exactly that in Season 17 with “Incandescent”.
What makes this weapon perk so powerful? The weapon perk is super powerful in combination with Solar 3.0 because it works in perfect synergy with it. You can use it to spread scorch among your opponents, dealing continuous damage to them. This is something Void 3.0 can’t offer you, so it’s important to include an Incandescent weapon in your Solar builds.
- Weapon Perk “Incandescent” – Defeating a target spreads scorch among nearby targets. On more powerful fighters and enemy Guardians, scorch spreads over a larger radius.
For example, the perk is available on the Calus Mini Tool 900 submachine gun. You can craft this weapon in the enclave on Mars and put “Incandescent” on the weapon as an improved weapon perk.
- “Incandescent” Improved: Increased Scorch stacks from 40 to 85.
By the way, this is not a seasonal mod. So you can still use it in Season 18 and beyond.
This makes the perk even stronger: If you want to become the absolute burning rage in Destiny 2, you should not only look for a weapon with “Incandescent”, but equip it as a weapon mod “Dragonfly Spec”. This combination significantly increases the initial explosion damage and explosion radius, as demonstrated by the Nodnah player here:
The Storm Chaser Linear Fusion Rifle
The Linear Fusion Rifle “Storm chaser” is currently in Destiny 2 not only as a weapon insider tip from the latest dungeon “Duality”. It is also the new boss killer. One can only speculate whether Bungie wanted this. So now is the best time to quickly equip this monster in PvE.
What makes this weapon so powerful? The weapon has an “Aggressive Frame”, meaning it fires a three-shot burst. With this you can kill faster and pump almost 40% more damage into a boss. Combine that with the right perks and you’ll balance out their small drawbacks nicely and end up with a killer machine for the power slot.
The YouTuber and Destiny 2 player Above has already impressively shown how strong “Storm Chaser” is when he and his team swept all the raid bosses in Destiny 2 out of their socks with it and said “Holy shit, that thing is a monster !” commented.
How to get the weapon: If you want to secure this new monster in Destiny 2, you have to visit the dungeon “Duality”. There it can drop both in the second encounter, the “safe” and in the final boss. The second additional loot box offers another chance.
With which perks is the power weapon recommended? In our tests, the weapon’s recoil was sometimes a bit too strong, which is why we recommend a roll with “Arrowhead Brake”. That also gives a plus on handling.
