What do leakers say about crimson and crimson?

Meanwhile, there is some official information about Pokémon Crimson & Crimson, the new generation of pocket monsters for the Nintendo Switch. However, significantly more details have been leaked since the announcement. We summarize all available leak snippets for you – from new Pokémon to interesting gameplay mechanics.

The starters: We already know Felori, Krokel and Kwaks. And maybe we already know what types the three starter Pokémon will be in their final forms:

• Felori: Plant/Dark
• Krokel Fire/Spirit
• Kwaks: Water/Fight

However, this information about the types is based on speculation about the respective design of the three pocket monsters. Incidentally, Kwak’s final form is said to be the coolest looking, according to leaker Riddler Khu, and Felori is said to walk on two legs in 3rd evolution and is “very attractive” (for a cat).

The Legendary Pokemon: The Legendarys Koraidon and Miraidon were officially introduced in the last trailer. The types should be Dragon/Fighting (Koraidon) and Dragon/Electric (Miraidon). The names mean something like “past” and “future” in a figurative sense and are representative of the theme of the new Pokémon editions.

Pokémon Crimson & Crimson – Second trailer reveals co-op mode and new Pokémon

Other new Pokemon: Pokemon Crimson and Crimson are rumored to offer the biggest Pokédex expansion in years. Nintendo and Game Freak have also shown us some pocket monsters, but leaks give us more clues:

• A cool fish Pokémon is included
• A new Taurus Pokémon to match the setting
• A new form for a water/ground-type Pokémon
• A Japanese-themed regional Bug Pokémon
• There are said to be various “attractive” Pokémon, both male and female
• Lots of “cool” new monsters

Old Pokemon: The bad news is that not all of the previous starters will be Crimson and Crimson. The good news is that some other monsters are making a comeback. Olini has been confirmed by leakers and Chevrumm should also be part of the game again – accordingly, we can count on his basic form Mähikel.

Evolutions and Types: The new Pokémon generations usually bring not only new creatures but also fresh evolutions for monsters already known from other offshoots. That should be the case again this time, for example for Dummisel. Of course, Eevee must not be missing in any Pokémon game and should also receive a new evolution. But there should not only be new evolutions, but also innovative type combinations.

New function: If you look at the design of the two legendary Pokémon, you could already guess it: the two can be mounted. Unfortunately, we don’t know if this is also possible with other monsters. In addition, the Mega Evolutions from Pokémon X and Y will probably return in a modified form.
