WoW: Final Raid of the Season of the Championship lands on the PTR soon
In an unfortunately very short post, Community Manager Kaivax announced that the final raid of the first season of the WoW Classic championship will soon hit the public test server.
The Season of the World of Warcraft Championship was a lot more exciting for two reasons, than the author of these lines had previously thought. Reason number 1: The optional hardcore mode gave many players a completely new WoW gaming experience. Even dungeons like UBRS were suddenly exciting again. That “Road to Ragnaros” event should have been a great experience for all participants (and spectators).
What is Blizzard planning for Naxxramas?
Reason number 2: In order to make the Classic endgame content challenging, the Blizzard developers made noticeable adjustments to the well-known raid instances:
- Basically, the boss fights lasted much longer than in the original, since the opponents often have significantly more life points and the characters only cause half as much damage (due to the elimination of the world buffs).
- In the Molten Core the bosses got more adds or even new mechanics. Baron Geddon turns three players into bombs, Ragnaros always has son phases, and Shazzrah has a mirror image of the boss after the teleport, which also works Arcane Explosion, to name just a few examples.
The exciting question now is, of course, what Blizzard is planning for Naxxramas, the final raid challenge. We will know shortly! With a Post in the official forum Community Manager Kaivax announced that the final raid of the first season of the WoW championship (buy now ) Classic on June 23, 2022 on the Public Test Server will hit. Unfortunately, as with the other instances, there was no information in advance about any changes that had already been implemented. As soon as the testers have gained their first experience, we will of course keep you informed of their findings.
