Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of cool details and offers a dramatic story about betrayal and the end of the outlaws in the wild west. But the end of the epilogue forms a welcome contrast and is much more relaxed.

Which does not mean that there is nothing to discover here. But on the contrary. A fan has now found a small but fine interaction that many other players apparently did not know about. And because it’s so heartwarming, we don’t want to withhold it from you.

WARNING, SPOILERS follow to the story of the old Red Dead Redemption 2 released in 2018!

Red Dead Redemption 2 scene in the epilogue just exudes calm and harmony

That’s what it’s about: While in the normal course of the story of Red Dead Redemption 2 we play Arthur Morgan, in the epilogue we take on the role of the protagonist from part one, John Marston. He builds up a ranch and lives on Beecher’s Hope with Abigail, Uncle Bill, the dog Rufus and the child Jack. After a while he leads a comparatively very harmonious life there, we can take care of the animals and the fields and enjoy the peace and quiet.

We can hug Abigail: As Redditor Riddley_ apparently accidentally discovered, we can take in this harmony even with Abigail in our arms. It comes very close to the idealized dream of country life with a wife and child. John can stand behind Abigail, put his hand on her shoulder and gaze out over his own farm. Before that, Jack and Rufus are playing. This seems like a welcome and beautiful, albeit fragile, moment of peace, especially in view of previous and future events.

This calm may seem deceptive to allwho have played Red Dead Redemption 1. But it can be all the more enjoyable to live the simple life of a farmer and the prequel gives us the chance to do that.

It’s worth exploring the changes in Red Dead 2’s epilogue

In addition, the Epilogue full of small changes compared to the time before. You can revisit lots of people and places as John and have different conversations than you had with Arthur.

For example, there would be Meeting the widow Charlotte, who settled high up in the northeast near the huge waterfall at Willard’s Rest. Arthur helps her survive at all, we teach her how to hunt and much more. As John, we can revisit her, talk about the late Arthur and see how well the woman is doing in the not-so-wild wilderness. Red Dead 2 is full of such small, subtle innovations.
