Pokémon GO: Community Day in June with Kapuno – This is how you use it properly

On June 25, 2022, Community Day will take place in Pokémon GO with Kapuno. We at MeinMMO will show you what special features await you on this day and explain how you can best use the event.

What is this event? A special Community Day is held every month in Pokémon GO. This then focuses on a specific Pokémon and spawns anywhere in the game for a period of 3 hours.

In addition, the event will be upgraded with various bonuses and the Shiny rate for the C-Day Pokémon will also be increased. On Saturday it’s that time again and you can meet the dark and dragon Pokémon Kapuno. Below we have summarized all important information about the Community Day with Kapuno.

Community Day in June 2022 – Launch, Bonuses and Shiny

With the exception of individual bonuses that go beyond the actual event, such as reduced stardust when trading, the additional special trade and the exclusive event attack, you can use all other bonuses for the full 3 hours of Community Day again.

Bonus Raid Battles: In addition to the bonuses mentioned, there will be another bonus after Community Day: the bonus raid battles. Pokémon GO brings you back the level 4 raids, but with one caveat.

So you can fight against Duodino there from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. However, participation is only possible with Raid Passes or Premium Battle Passes. So you can’t do long-distance raids and therefore have to play directly at the arena.

As a reward, not only is an encounter with Duodino awaiting you, but you also get wild Kapuno spawns in a radius of 300 meters around the arena for 30 minutes. The shiny chance should be just as high as on the actual C-Day.

This is how you can make the most of the Community Day with Kapuno

Prepare yourselves: As before every event, you should also make various preparations for the Community Day with Kapuno. Of course, this primarily means that you create enough space in your Pokémon storage. So sort out your monsters before the actual event to save valuable time on Saturday.

The same applies to your item bag. Here, too, you should first create space for the most important items and then stock up on balls. If you want to use the whole Community Day with Kapuno, you should have at least 200 balls in your item bag. So you can catch for a while and don’t have to keep turning stops and arenas.

If you still want to use the raids with Duodino after Community Day, it is best to talk to friends beforehand. Unlike what you know from other raids, you cannot invite friends to long-distance raids. So it makes sense to think about who you want to raid with before C-Day.

Items that you should use for Community Day with Kapuno

However, the balls alone are not enough to get the most out of Community Day. If you want to catch a particularly large number of Kapuno, then you should also have smoke and lure modules with you. Pineapple berries should also not be missing on this day in order to farm good candies.

You need this in order to be able to develop your Kapuno into Trikephalo via Duodino and thus secure the exclusive charge attack. If you also caught a strong specimen, you can use it to level it up faster.

If you still want to play level 4 raids after Community Day, you should also have enough premium battle passes with you. Unfortunately, your long-distance raid passes do not bring you anything in these raids.

Is the Community Day with Kapuno worth it?

Is there Shiny Kapuno? Yes, you can also catch Shiny Kapuno. You can recognize this by its green body. On Community Days, the shiny quotas for the respective monster are usually increased, which is why you have a good chance of encountering a dazzling Kapuno.

How strong are Kapuno and its advancements? The dark and dragon Pokémon Kapuno comes from the 5th game generation and can be further developed into Hydreigon via Duodino. However, the little monster itself is not particularly strong. Duodino can only hold their ground in 54th place in the Superliga.

However, this is different with trikephalo. This monster can score especially with high attack and endurance values. That’s how the Pokémon does it according to PvPoke only ranked 68 in the Master League, but is one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO in terms of raids.

Who should use the C-Day with Kapuno? Kapuno was previously a Pokémon that was only occasionally found in the wilds of Pokémon GO. Above all, it hatched from eggs or was found in various rewards. Therefore, the C-Day is a good opportunity to secure copies of it.

Anyone who still needs a strong dark attacker for raids should therefore not miss the Community Day with Kapuno. Shiny hunters also get their money’s worth on this day.

In addition, the candy bonus offers the possibility to farm a lot of candies and XL candies from Kapuno in order to finally level up Hydreigon. Due to the reduced exchange costs, it is also worthwhile to exchange some Kapuno and thus get the chance of a lucky Kapuno.
