Free in the Epic Games Store: Two real insider tips will soon be free

It’s that time again: From June 30, 2022, gaming fans can grab two new free games in the Epic Games Store. As always, you can keep these two titles permanently if you have a free Epic account. The two games that will soon be available for free are two real insider tips that have convinced users on Steam. It starts with Iratus: Lord of the Dead, a turn-based roguelike RPG in which the player takes on the role of the villain. The second free title is Geneforge 1 – Mutagen, an open-world fantasy RPG in which we create our own monster creations to serve us.

What is Iratus: Lord of the Dead?

Iratus: Lord of the Dead is an indie roguelike RPG featuring tactical turn-based combat. Players take on the role of the necromancer Iratus, who commands an army of the living dead. This army is recruited from the bodies of slain enemies and aims to conquer the mortal world. Iratus: Lord of the Dead’s gameplay is reminiscent of Darkest Dungeon, but from an evil perspective. The title currently has 85 percent approval on Steam.

What is Geneforge 1 – Mutagen about?

Geneforge 1 – Mutagen is a remaster of the 2001 game Geneforge. We embody a so-called shaper, a powerful magician who can create life. The Shaper is stranded on an island that holds many of the secrets of his own people. However, there are invaders on the island who want to get the secrets.

The highlight of Geneforge: we can decide for ourselves how we want to proceed: do we stand in the way of the invaders? Or do we join them? Do we fight or use our abilities to play through the story without a single fight?
