Game of Thrones: Brienne of Tarth reunion?

As was recently announced, HBO’s fantasy series Game of Thrones a Offshoot of the character Jon Snow to get. This not only fuels the rumor mill about which actors you might see again. Some actors are now talking about a possible comeback.

As Gwendoline Christie recently announced in an interview with Screen Rant, she could well imagine slip back into the role of Brienne von Tarth. The character makes her debut in the episode What Is Dead Shall Never Die (S2/E3). While Christie’s character initially only plays a supporting role, Brienne develops into the main character in the course of the story.

Brienne of Tarth: Loyal and devoted

The only Daughter of Lord Selwyn Tarth (Lord of Duskhall) once served King Renly Baratheon. after his death, she swears allegiance to Catelyn Stark. Thanks to her nobility, she becomes a first female knight of the Seven Kingdoms and ultimately to the new one in the final Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.

Christie mentions to Screen Rant, how much she loves her Game of Thrones character.

“It was something that had never happened before. Namely that I read a character that really spoke to me and talked about some of my experiences and the experiences of my friends. […]”

“And I loved Brienne so much. […] I think I’d always love to visit Brienne again, but we’ll have to see.”

The role of Brienne of Tarth was a huge career leap for Christie. And even though she would be happy to see her GOT role again, she is satisfied with her career development. Gwendoline Christie is constantly evolving and her roles. She will next play the headmistress Larissa Weems in the Addams Family spin-off Wednesday.

Game of Thrones still offers enough material

With the coming Game of Thrones spin-off House of the Dragon and the planned one Jon Snow sequel we should be happy about enough new GOT material. One can only speculate about further sequels. Undoubtedly, the role of Brienne von Tarth enough material for another adaptation in the GOT universe.

While no cast members have been announced for the Jon Snow spin-off other than Kit Harrington, there is the possibility of seeing Gwendolin Christie again – maybe in a cameo appearance.
