Apple: Numerous releases in the pipeline until spring 2023?

from Julius Bald
According to current information, Apple plans to update almost the entire hardware portfolio by spring 2023. These include new models in the iPhone series, new Apple Watch offshoots and the highly anticipated mixed reality headset, which currently has no name.

Hardware and software manufacturer Apple is said to be preparing numerous hardware releases in the coming months. At least that’s what Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, who is usually quite well informed about Apple, reports. Accordingly, Apple should replace almost the entire hardware range by spring 2023. It will probably start in September with the update of the iPhone portfolio. Here the iPhone 14 including Pro and Max siblings is in the starting blocks, which is said to be equipped with an improved A16 chip and a 48-megapixel sensor for the rear camera. In addition, the iPhone 14 Pro should come with an always-on display for the first time (we reported).

Apple: What’s new with iPad, Mac, AppleTV and AirPods?

The iPads are also to be replaced. The Pro models are to receive the fast M2 chip, while the entry-level model is to be equipped with the A14 chip, 5G connection technology and USB-C. With regard to the Apple Watch, there are said to be three new models: a standard model, an SE version and an edition that is said to be more stable and therefore better suited for extreme sports. The Macs are also to be reissued and receive the M2 chip. This includes the Mac Mini with M2, another Mini model with M2 Pro, new Macbooks and a Mac Pro with the M2 Ultra or M2 Extreme chip. Also, there are rumors that the M3 chip is already being developed and will find its first place in a new Macbook Air, iMac and 12-inch notebook.

There should be further updates for the Apple TV with the A14 chip and more RAM and for the AirPods Pro with a new chip and improved sound. Another highlight is probably the mixed reality headset from Apple. This should also get an M2 chip and be equipped with 16 gigabytes of RAM. The operating system should therefore be realityOS. We’ll keep you updated on all announcements from Apple.
