Windows 11 users will receive a new update with patch KB5014668. The download sets the build number to 22000.778 and includes a highlight display for the search function. This gives you additional information for your search queries, which you should keep up to date in a more tailored and timely manner. Notifications can include details about public holidays and anniversaries, both globally and regionally. In corporate environments, updates in contacts or shared files are taken into account.
The second pillar of the patch KB5014668 for Windows 11 are bug fixes for older and newly encountered problems. For example, video files or audio signals could not be played in games or games would not start at all. Adding to the list of audio issues once again are Bluetooth devices. IP address auditing for incoming remote management connections and support for Transport Layer Security 1.3 (TLS) are relevant for companies.
There have been isolated reports of issues with the online clipboard, as well as installing new apps while Windows 11 has no online connection available. Microsoft has fixed these issues. The Start menu now shows PowerShell again after you delete Windows Terminal, and the smartphone app has been renamed. After the patch day for Windows 11 a good two weeks ago, WLAN hot ports set up within the operating system caused problems. The optional patch should also remedy this.
If you are interested, you can trigger the optional update for Windows 11 manually in the settings. Alternatively, you can feed in KB5014668 on the Windows Update Catalog to disposal.
