AMD has a new chipset driver with the Version number 4.06.10.651 released. Among other things, the new driver fixes an error during the installation of the AMD chipset software, where the window “AMD Chipset Software is not responding” was displayed.

In addition, the driver brings a new one Power plan for Windows 11 on AMD Ryzen systemsofficial USB4 support and a new program support.

The energy saving plan is particularly interesting here, because it offers, among other things, a High performance mode better power consumption and higher peak performance. With the energy-saving settings, on the other hand, the PC switches off more cores when idle and keeps the clock rate of the cores used high, which results in a faster response time despite savings.

More information about the changes and a download link can be found on the AMD official site. Some known problems are also described there, such as possible errors during installation.
