Anno 1800: Game Update 14.3 and Industrial Area DLC are here

from Thilo Bayer
As announced, Ubisoft not only rolled out Game Update 14.3 for Anno 1800, but also the Industrial Area DLC.

Since 3 p.m. there has been new content and a patch for Anno 1800. As the developer Ubisoft Mainz confirmed on Twitter, the new content started at 3 p.m. It says; “The train that is currently arriving on platform 9 is Game Update 14.3, with a connection to the “Industrial Area” Pack Cosmetic DLC”.

Game update 14.3

A download size for game update 14.3 for Anno 1800 doesn’t exist, maybe it’s worth it in view of the patch notes not at all. The game update is the basis for supporting the Cosmetic DLC 8 – the “Industrial Area” package. There are also two new company logos that were unlocked as part of the Community Challenge for DLC 10. The gameplay focuses on the memory leak in the Steam version, which the new update aims to address. They also want to fix the issue where the game freezes briefly when opening the player profile in-game. In addition, Anno 1800 should no longer freeze if the game was run in full-screen mode and the screen automatically switched to standby mode.

“Industrial Zone” Pack Cosmetic DLC

Along with Game Update 14.3 comes the “Industrial Zone” pack. However, there seem to be some problems with the purchase, at least that is what a comment in the Anno forum suggests. It says: “I downloaded the update and see the “Industrial Pack” in the menu. However, when I click “Buy”, it says that the content is not available in my country (DE).”

Ubisoft itself puts the following features in the list: “Breath more life to the ‘dirty’ side of your cities with new ornaments that revolve around the themes of construction sites and industry. For example, scaffolding, a water pipe network and a construction crane. Or beautified your railway lines with concourses, signals and a coal tower”.
